Abstract Fall Nails

Abstract Fall Nails

It's 11-12-13!! A good fall day for a blog post!
Today's Nails: Abstract Fall Nails!

Today wasn't so fallish-- In fact it SNOWED this morning. Ok, it was more of a rainy drizzle BUT still. Fall comes in and out so quickly that every bit of the season has to be soaked in before the chill of a winters wind comes roaring in... Wow that was really poetic huh? Anyway back to the nails.

To be honest, these nails were a beating to create. They look fun... and the concept is easy. But it's pretty annoying when it doesn't go as planned. Let's just say clean up for these nails takes as long as the creation of them... well almost.

The method is called: Splatter Nails. Basically you use a coffee stir straw to  blow nail polish onto the nail, creating a "splatter" effect. See this video for more detailed explanation... I really don't know how she made it seem so easy! My polish didn't really want to splatter. So, don't try this method if you get frustrated easy. You could probably create the same type effect by sponging the colors on or doing a dry water marble

You can almost see leaves if you squint!

As we say in Tennessee, "Happy Fall, Y'all" :)

Hope you enjoyed! Try this mani for yourself!
